Roberta Mestieri je vizuelna umetnica iz Brazila, sa iskustvom u književnosti i pozorištu. Ona trenutno radi i živi u Berlinu. U svom radu, ona istražuje odnos između sile, ritma i materijalnostti. „Veoma se trudim da dobijem ono slučajno“.

Ova izložba je proizvod umetničke rezidencije u Beogradu (Belgrade Art Studio Residency). Ovo je prvi put da sam imala priliku da upoznam ovaj grad i on me je očarao svojom energijom. Istovremeno, iskusila sam određenu melanholičnu atmosferu, nostalgiju koja se suprotstavlja ovom živahnom gradu. Pokušala sam ovu tenziju da preselim u svoj rad, dok sam u isto vreme i samu sebe unosila u taj kontekst, predstavljajući način na koji je ta energija uticala na mene.

Otvaranje izložbe je u subotu, 15. avgusta u 19č u Ostavinskoj u Kraljevića Marka 8.

This exhibition is the result of an artistic residency in Belgrade. For the first time, I got to know this city and was enchanted by its energy. At the same time, I also experienced a certain melancholy atmosphere, a nostalgia that confronts this lively city. I tried to bring this tension to my work while at the same time inserting myself in this context, portraying how that energy affected me.

The exhibition opens on Saturday, 15th August at 7 p.m. at Ostavinska, at 8 Kraljevića Marka Street.
